Friday Night Prime Time (but on a Thursday)

Friday Night Prime Time is a program focused on interscholastic athletic participation for students with disabilities. It was created in 2015 by a group of organizations, mainly the University of Hawaii – College of Education’s Hawaii Concussion Awareness & Management Program and Kinesiology Department, University of Hawaii – Student Recreation Services, and the Oahu Interscholastic Association.

Students participating in these basketball games normally cannot join regular sports teams due to mental and/or physical challenges. Our special needs students train with members of the regular boys’ basketball team, who will also be on the court guiding them.
