Astronaut Ellison Onizuka Science Day

Astronaut Ellison Onizuka Day is coming back to the event to the University of Hawaii at Hilo for the first time since the 2019 pandemic. The program includes an opening assembly with a talk from a real-life austronaut, as well as a volcanologist. There will be workshops for keiki in grades 3-12 and the general public is welcome to browse the interactive booths and state-qualifying VEX IQ tournament. There will also be food trucks, and the event concludes with a science magic show in the final assembly at 2:30pm (VEX IQ event runs until 4pm).
