14th Annual Honolulu St Baldrick’s Brave the Shave

14th Annual Honolulu St Baldrick’s Brave the Shave is a fundraiser for childhood cancer research, volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with kids who are going through treatment and have lost their hair. Shavees and volunteers who participate for multiple years are inducted into the Knights of the Bald Table in the pre-shaving festivities.

For 20 years St Baldrick’s has provided millions in direct funding, research grants, and infrastructure grants to Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, Tripler Army Medical Center, and the University of Hawaii Cancer Center for clinical trials and improvements, as well as 10 fellowships grants to Hawaii researchers, allowing new life-saving treatments to get to children in Hawaii. This year they are hoping to reach $900,000 mark in funds raised in Hawaii!!
